Enjoy a private tour of Greens Ledge Lighthouse given by a member of the Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society board for yourself and up to 5 additional guests (maximum 6 people/tour).

Learn about Greens Ledge, the restoration and more while getting an up close look at a working lighthouse. An unparalleled opportunity to experience Greens Ledge 1-on-1 for an unforgettable experience.

Tours last approximately 75 minutes, including transit via boat, which is provided. Longer private events can be booked through the Date Night or Small’ Events offering.

The Lighthouse also hosts professional weather and wind monitoring equipment utilized by the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center and hosts educational tours provided by Maritime Aquarium and other local nonprofits, garnering recognition as a true "Beacon" of Long Island Sound preservation. 

Available on Saturdays and Sundays, May through October.

Tour price includes a tax-deductible donation to the Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society. The booking party will be provided with a receipt for their donation upon confirmation.

Additional Information

  • Enjoy a private, one-on-one tour with a Board Member of Greens Ledge for a total of up to eight guests.

  • Each tour will last approximately 60 minutes. You will be able to tour each level of the lighthouse with additional time for a picnic lunch on the pad.

  • Guests must supply their own food/drink, if desired. Purified water will be available at the lighthouse.

  • Transportation by boat is included in the ticket price. Greens Ledge does have room for one additional boat if you would prefer to meet us at the light.

  • Availability is limited to Saturdays and Sundays from May through October, weather permitting.

  • Please review all rules prior to your visit.

  • At checkout, please specify up to four potential tour dates. We will email to confirm or coordinate for alternative dates.

General Rules & Safety

  • Please ensure all guests are wearing sturdy, closed-toed shoes.

  • Children under 8 must be closely-supervised throughout the tour, especially around railings and decks.

  • Be sure that all participants are dressed for moderately active, outdoor activities.

  • Do not litter or leave trash around the lighthouse.

  • Anticipate that you will be walking up and down steep stairways.
